USCIS advised the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) about its current processing goals. USCIS will try to issue a biometric appointment (fingerprinting) within one month, and anticipates a 4 to 6 month processing time for the initial DACA applicants. This processing time may slow down if the volume of case filings increases.
