Senate Committee to Discuss Reauthorizing the EB-5 Program

The Senate Committee on the Judiciary will hold a hearing on “Reauthorizing the EB-5 Regional Center Program: Promoting Job Creation and Economic Development in American Communities” on December 7th. Currently the EB-5 program is set to expire on September 30, 2012. It is widely anticipated that the program will be renewed as it encourages badly needed investment and job growth in the U.S. economy.

The speakers before the Committee include Bill Stenger (President and CEO of Jay Peak Resort), David North (Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies – an anti-immigration group), and Robert Divine (an author and immigration attorney).
