On September 13th, the House of Representatives passed S.3245 which includes a re-authorization of the EB-5 Regional Center program. This bill also renews the Conrad 30 J-1 Waiver program. The Senate already passed the bill on August 2, 2012.
Provided President Obama signs the bill into law, the EB-5 program will be extended for 3 more years. Even though many EB-5 investors and immigration attorneys anticipated that the bill will be renewed, nothing seemed automatic with how partisan Congress has become.
Now that S3245 passed the house, many EB-5 investors in process of investing in the EB-5 program can breathe a sigh of relief.
