13 people were arrested for protesting Alabama’s immigration law on Tuesday. Approximately 100 people marched on the capital in Montgomery, Alabama.  They chanted various slogans including: “Undocumented and unafraid!” “No papers, no fear, immigrants are marching here!” and “Ain’t no power like the power of the people!”

Most of the protesters were charged with disturbing the peace.  Those without authorization to remain in the U.S. will be turned over to ICE, who may choose to either release them or start the deportation process.
